We recently had Brian do some cabinet work in our bathroom and kitchen. When he came for our first meeting, he had a lot of great ideas (such as a spice rack cabinet) to incorporate into our design. We couldn’t be happier with the job Brian did! The cabinets turned out beautifully and we have gotten a lot of compliments (and it’s only been a few weeks!) on his work. Brian is creative, easy to work with, and professional. I would definitely recommend him to anyone! He does amazing work!
We worked with Distinctive Cabinets to add upper cabinets, a second counter top, and storage space to our laundry room. The work Brian did was very high quality, and the new cabinets match the style and color of our existing cabinets perfectly. Brian was also very good about returning phone calls and emails promptly, and completed the work on the timeline he promised. I have worked with Brian on three separate occasions. The first was to build custom cabinets in our family room bar. They turned out beautiful and I receive amazing comments on them all the time. Next Brian converted a cabinet into a wine rack perfectly and lastly when I wanted new appliances I realized that my 30 year old cabinets looked great but needed adjustments to accommodate larger appliances. Brian was able to make the adjustments look like the original cabinets. Brian is professional, affordable, easy to work with and his workmanship is impeccable!
I have dealt with the design and then build concept when there is two different people doing each of those jobs and then there is Brian who is the designer and the builder and I like his concept better. Just one way this concept was superior was his suggestions to improve the ideas I had for my cabinets. Most of his suggestions were to improve the functionality of what I wanted but at the same time saved me $$$$$. He has also designed trade show booth for me and also has done many of my cabinets when we moved three years ago. Brian at Distinctive Cabinets is what I would call an artist in cabinetry because he gets to know you and what you are looking for to give the look, feel, and functionality you want as the end result.
I took Brian a rather crude drawing of a mirrored bathroom cabinet I wanted to hang over my existing vanity. He came to my home with a drawing that was to scale to make sure we were both on the same page and we were. I provided him with 2 can lights to size for installation into the header and a drawer from my vanity to match for color. Within a couple of weeks he was back to hang the finished product. The cabinet is really well done and exactly what I wanted. I had searched high and low and thought that having a cabinet maker do the job would be too expensive – I was wrong. If you can’t find what you want at a big box store, talk to Brian and see if he can do the job for you. I am sure you’ll be pleased with his work!
I have had Brian do four major projects for me .I am all about function and ease. He helped me design a pencil post head-board to hang on the wall instead of attached to the bed, along with bedroom furniture to fit our room. We have an old house and the rooms are not huge. A six foot jewelry chest with individual compartments for the first 6 drawers and then regular ones for the next three. Two large cabinets with one housing the flat screen with doors and drawers that slide so slick. Everything was custom designed and beautifully constructed. The wood and the hard finish is so smooth that the grain shows through. He also helped design my kitchen cabinets. I wanted the lake view so I have no overhead cabinets, just drawers. I also have two pantry cabinets and the inside shelves slide so beautifully to get what you need quickly. My lazy susan is crammed with stuff as I love to cook, so Brian even put in a separation board next to the lazy susan to stand my large cast iron pans. Details were important for convenience. The Corrianne counter-tops and sink are a breeze to upkeep. I also replaced my tub in the bathroom with a cabinet, as we have a separate shower. I love the big side doors with slide out deep drawers for towels. Our office is amazing. We needed many file drawers as my accountant, and president of Western Lime husband saves every document. We have 10 file cabinets and many drawers drawn up to just fit the room beautifully. Brian’s personality makes it easy to feel comfortable when asking questions if you’re not quite sure what style you like. He really listens to what you want and then tweaks it with suggestions. He is in constant communication with you and his installation is organized and attentive to details that you alone need in your situation. You’ll love it when it’s finished and the price is right too.
